Jasmine completed a Diploma in Jewellery Design at Unitec School of Design in 1995. Since then she has been working in the film industry making jewellery and armour. Her projects include the role of jeweller/jewellery designer for Peter Jackson's Academy Award winning film trilogy The Lord of the Rings and Andrew Adamson's Academy Award winning film The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Her jewellery is inspired by the ornate floral designs of Oriental textiles, the elaborate geometric arrangements of arabesques and the infinite formations of mandalas. Combining her background in film and costume making with a love of intricate detail and ornamental surfaces, she layers and repeats pierced silhouettes to create jewellery that evokes a sense of theatre and occasion. Made by hand, the individual components of her jewellery are meticulously hand cut, cast, then hand finished and assembled.
