Penelope trained at Christchurch Polytechnic completing a degree in Visual Communication and Craft Design, majoring in print making, sculpture and 3D design and receiving a QE 11 grant for emerging artists in the 1990's. My journey with jewellery began at eight years old when my grandmother showed me her jewellery collection. Pieces were tenderly displayed in individual matchboxes lined with cotton wool and her eyes danced relaying the history of each piece. Captivated by these thoughts I became seduced into making jewellery. Penelope exhibits her work both nationally and internationally with work in both the Dowse and Auckland Museum collections.
